Music gen starts with a prompt. Describe the genre, mood, instruments and tempo, or paste your own lyrics in Custom mode, and AIMusic generates a track that follows it.
Vocals or Instrumental
Songs come with AI vocals by default. Turn on Instrumental when you want music only.
Pick a Model by Plan
Generation runs on the V6 family: V6 mini on every plan, including Free; V6 on paid plans; and V6 Wild on Ultra. Each song costs 5 credits on any model.
Refine by Changing One Thing
If a result is close, change one detail in the prompt, such as the tempo or the lead instrument, and generate again. Small changes make it easier to hear what each word does.
Keep Working After You Generate
On paid plans you can extend a song, add AI cover art or make an MP4 lyric video. On every plan you can upload audio to separate vocals or split stems for 5 credits per file.

How to Generate Music with AI
Step 1: Describe the Music
Write a prompt with the genre, mood, instruments and tempo, for example "dreamy synthwave, slow, warm pads and a gated snare". Add a topic if you want vocals, or paste your own lyrics in Custom mode.
Step 2: Generate
Choose vocals or Instrumental and click Generate. In the full generator, pick V6 mini, V6 or V6 Wild depending on your plan.
Step 3: Refine and Keep
Listen, change one detail and generate again until it fits. Sign in and use the full generator to save tracks to your library; library downloads come with the paid plans.

Is this page Meta's MusicGen?
No. This page is about music generation on AIMusic, which is a separate product. AIMusic generates songs with the V6 family of models.
How does AI music generation work here?
You give it a prompt or your own lyrics plus a style, and the model generates a track with vocals or as an instrumental. You then refine the result by changing the prompt and generating again.
What should I put in a prompt?
Genre, mood, two or three instruments and the tempo, plus a topic if you want vocals. For example: "upbeat indie pop, jangly guitars, fast, about a summer road trip".
What does music generation give me?
In the full generator: a finished track you can play, share as a link if it is public and, on paid plans, download from your library, extend or use commercially.
Is it free?
You can try it on this page without an account. A free account gets 15 credits a day, about 3 songs at 5 credits each, refreshed at 00:00 UTC. Paid plans add more credits, private songs, library downloads and commercial use.
Can I make instrumental music without lyrics?
Yes. Turn on Instrumental before you generate.
Which model generates my music?
In the full generator: V6 mini on every plan, including Free; V6 on Pro and Ultra; and V6 Wild on Ultra. All cost 5 credits per song.
Can I control the style?
Yes. Describe the genre, mood, instruments and tempo in the style field (Custom Mode) or directly in the Song Description box. Requests that name real artists are blocked, so describe the sound instead.
Do I need to install anything?
No. AIMusic runs in the browser on desktop and phone.
Can I download the music?
Downloading from your library comes with the paid plans: MP3 on Pro and Ultra, and WAV on Ultra. Public song pages also offer an MP3 download to anyone.
Can businesses use the music commercially?
Music created while you have an active paid plan can be used commercially, and annual plans include a PDF license certificate. Music made on the Free plan does not include commercial rights.
